The Region

The choices for the visitor who comes to Ouranopolis are many. Daily from April to October ferry boats depart from the port of our village to circumnavigate the southwest side of Mount Athos a unique monument worldwide. You will be able to see eight of the twenty monasteries and the port of Dafni.

Also boats depart daily for the islands of Drenia where you can swim in the cleanest and most pristine waters. The beaches that you can visit are many, either organized or not. You can also visit the monastery Zigos by following the archaeological walk or driving with your car just 2 km from the village.
